At the pre-conference session, Monica Brooks mentioned a program that Fairmont State has — I didn’t get the name and I can’t find it at the FSU Library’s home page. Can anyone help?

Hi all – so far my absolute favorite web 2.0 program is the meebo window: http://wwwm.meebo.com/index-en.html

You can create a widget for yourself. With this, I am able to embed myself into my WebCT classes and also some of the blogs I maintain for work-related purposes. The students are using it on a regular basis to talk to me and ask questions in real-time, so it’s working well for us. –Monicaa

The pre-confernce was good. I hope the Academic section will plan on some offerings during the regular program at next year’s conference and maybe something at Spring Fling. I did like the idea of having a meeting at a college or university campus. The hosting library could give us tours and show us the really wonderful things they are doing.
